Chelsea Polk is a multimedia artist and musician. Originally from Cleveland, she began her career in photography and video and has since focused in sound design + installation, writing, and cello performance. She received her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Now based in Boston, Chelsea provides media and technology support at MIT's Program in Art, Culture, and Technology and handles operations at a tech-enabled photography platform, Pretty Instant. Latest projects include Everything Converges into Nothingness, a three-part video and audio series commenting on the rise of the intersection of art and science by exploring the hydrology of local Massachusetts reservoirs and 44,320, a podcast and short story about 8 bogs in North America, Ireland, and Eastern Europe. In her free time, Chelsea plays cello with the New England Philharmonic.
